A Forest of Fog!

David Axon

On this trip to LauWelNew (John Dean Park) in Central Saanich I experienced that wonderful serendipity that can only occur if you actually go out and be ready for whatever happens. My walk in the forest had been pleasant enough, when suddenly within a minute fog had rolled in. The forest was immediately transformed into this eerie, "witchy" scene. It was magical. I quickly took as many images as I could, before leaving, as the way down to the road from that spot is extremely steep and care needs to be taken even on good days, and it was already getting hard to see.
