Here are some "nearly" images I took on January 1st this year at Dawn. They are "nearly " good pics, but not quite. At least I can look at them now and have a better idea of how to improve them. They have all been post edited in photoscape X. It will be interesting to do another dawn shoot soon to see how much I have learned. Until then........
f5/1/100 sec, ISO 200, 90mm, +1 step EC ,TV So the sky is huge, and I could crop it but decided to show it as I took it. at this stage I had no idea how to use Exposure Compensation ( and it is still a challenge to be honest). I should have used Aperture Priority with this light and my few weeks of experience at this time , and just let the camera do the rest.
f8, 1/400 sec, ISO 400, 85 mm . The original is much darker, and moodier. I am literally guessing at this point about which aperture setting to use. The ISO setting is also also a guess. I suspect I decided to bump it up because it was dawn and the light was not good.
f 7.1, 1/600, ISO 200 75 mm AV. This could have been a good if I had managed to get the foreground in better focus.
f 5.6, 1/125, ISO 200 80mm, AV, EC+2 stops. I like these colours from post editing. Horizon should be straighter.
